CYO eligibility has always been based on where you live and/or if your child attends a parish's catholic school. These rules have always been in existence. We went outside the rules in the past to accept active parishioners who live just outside the parish boundaries. The archdiocese and CYO are cracking down on boundary line eligibility, so we are no longer able to do that. Any new players this year must live within Holy Child's parish boundaries.

HOLY CHILD CYO Tryout Schedule
due to emergency gym maintenance, Friday, 9/13 sessions have been moved to Monday, 9/16.
**CYO Program Quick Overview**
Must be live within the parish boundaries as of September 2023.
(New registrants must bring copy of birth certificate and utility bill to verify home address to tryouts).
Children entering Kindergarten thru 8th Grade are eligible
Registered players must attend assigned tryout date(s) in early September (schedule will be released mid-August).
Practices begin late September and run through February
Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd Graders – 1x practice per week
3rd – 8th Graders – 2x practices per week
Games begin late October/early November and run through February; primarily on weekends, at Holy Child or other Staten Island parishes
CYO players are automatically enrolled into our intramural program (opportunity for extra practice).

**Intramural Program Quick Overview**
Holy Child's Intramural program is for any child entering Pre-K thru 8th Grade in September 2024.
Those registered for our CYO Program are automatically enrolled in the Intramural program and do not need to fill out this registration.
The program will run for 8-weeks from October – December.
(Full schedule will be sent mid-September)
3rd - 8th grade boys participate in league play by grade on Thursday evenings.
Pre-K - 2nd grade participate in a clinic on Saturday mornings.
3rd - 8th grade girls participate in league play Saturday early afternoons.
