Registration for our 2016-2017
Please be advised – School of Religion tuition must be satisfied in order to register for
Intramurals and CYO Basketball.
All School of Religion re-registration forms were mailed out in April
and all tuition must be paid no later than June 1st. Please contact School of Religion if you did not receive your re-registration forms 718.356.5277 ASAP
PLEASE BE ADVISED IF YOU DO NOT LIVE WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF HOLY CHILD AND YOUR CHILD IS NOT A STUDENT OF THE SCHOOL OF RELIGION YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY AT HOLY CHILD. THIS RULE APPLY FROM BIDDY TO 8TH GRADE.
ALL REGISTERATIONS THAT DO NOT FALL IN THE ABOVE CRITERA WILL BE PULLED.
All new CYO ONLY registrations must bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate along with a copy of a utility bill to verify home address. We will not accept any registrations forms without the above requested.
NEW 2016-2017 RULES
All children who are trying out for a CYO team must attend BOTH tryouts or they will not be considered for a team, we will no longer allow excuses of not being able to attend due to other sports obligations.
There will be no walk-ins allowed, all potential players must be registered on the above dates.
Once again, there will be a maximum of 10 players per team.
There will be a mandated parent meeting for all CYO parents after teams are selected.
All players will play where they are placed.
There will be NO REFUNDS unless there is a medical reason with a doctors note.
AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE SEASON WE WILL BE UPDATING RULES
ACCORDING TO CYO AS WELL.
All children must be registered on the above dates in order to play Intramurals and to come to try-outs for CYO in September. There will be no exceptions made for missing registration and there will be no walk-ins allowed at CYO try-outs. Try-outs will be conducted the second week of September, dates and times will be announced in August.
All payments for the CYO basketball league will be due after tryouts when team selections are completed. There will be a separate fee for uniforms.
Any child entering Pre-K through 8th grade as of September 2016 can join the intramural program at Holy Child. There are no boundary limits for our intramural program nor are there any weekly practices for our intramural league. Games/clinics are once a week and will run starting late September for 8 weeks. Games/clinics are usually scheduled on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
Payments for the Intramural program only will be due during the above registration dates.

The number of teams in the Holy Child CYO Basketball Program is generally anticipated each year by the number of new registrations. The eventual number will be determined during the annual tryout process and may be lowered or raised each year based on player evaluations, at the discretion of the Holy Child Sports Council. Teams will be have a maximum of 10 players, minimum of 8 players. Anymore than 10 is up to discretion of the Sports Council.
Intramural basketball league (open to everyone, no parish boundaries), all games are played in the Holy Child Forum. Teams are set up based on the child’s ability to play the game of basketball. K thru 2nd graders intramural program will consisit of teaching the basketball basics as an introduction to the game of basketball. Grades 3 thru 8 will consist of a mix of our CYO Players and kids
